 Long time, no blog!

I just felt like I wanted to write something. Anything really and I didn't want to do stream of consciousness on Twitter or  Bluesky or Threads. Perhaps this should go in my LiveJournal but alas here I am.

I went to look at this blog and oh no broken photo links. I used Flickr links for these photos and I guess they're broken. Which is a shame because I don't know where these photos are any more to replace them. And I don't have the motivation to do it either.

Everyone has pivoted to either short form video or short form text. I miss reading someone's blog. Even the most mundane things about their day. It has obviously been replaced by an easier to consume TikTok day in my life. 

But I've always loved writing. I've always loved the feel on typing on a keyboard. I've been using a computer keyboard since I was a child. When the computers were quite new and word processing was one of the only things it could do. White text on a blue screen. I am that old.

Anyway, I have this mechanical keyboard sitting here and I just wanted to use it. I was doing some typing speed tests online and then decided that I actually maybe I should actually write something. Now here we are. Here instead of a typing test.

I wish I had a hobby that required me to type more. Like coding. I don't engage in Reddit that much. I miss forums. This keyboard would be good for that. I don't Tweet as much. Bluesky is not the same. I just want to be anonymous online and type but now the people that follow me sort of know me and now I just don't want to be perceived.

So I suppose that's another reason why I'm here.

Who is going to see this? Who remembers this?

I'm going to check the blog roll out now and depress myself further.
